Many important aspects of a vibrant faith get missed when one’s expression of Christianity is reduced to behaving well. Yes, there are ethics and right actions for people of faith, but our loving Father God sees deeper into who we are and wants our hearts to be whole and Spirit filled. The deeply formed life is one that invites Jesus to the deeper places and is comfortable inviting him to help change and heal, as well as to build up what is good and healthy. As we worship today, Psalm 139:1-3, 23-24 will help guide us to going below the surface of what keeps the world so shallow and fragile.
