As we come to worship on the third week of Advent we are also about to experience the longest night of the year. The tie between what is happening in creation and what we experience in this world should comfort our hearts. Even when the night is long we know that the days will be getting longer again, the darkness does not last. This third week of preparation calls us to joy. May the hope that grows in us allow us to have the joy of Christ deep within because we know the darkness will not last. Luke 1:26-38 will be our guide.
