Some people are more naturally equipped to love others. Some people even make it really easy to love them in return. But for all of us, love seems to have its limits. It might be a particular person who really challenges us, or certain types of personalities that rub us the wrong way. The reality is, to love others in the way that Jesus calls us to love can be very difficult. He said to us in Luke 6:32, “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.” If we are going to live into the type of Christian community God calls us to be as Altogether Different, we are going to need a lot of help from the Holy Spirit. Let’s worship together, as 1 Corinthians 13:1-10 guides our hearts.
