E. Stanley Jones was an United Methodist follower of Jesus who had an impact on the world that few others have had. Following a clear call to the mission field in India, he was always willing to listen and adapt how he shared the love of Jesus with others. He was friends with Mahatma Gandhi, an influence to Martin Luther King Jr., and nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize. Surrender to Christ was a consistent message that he modeled and preached. Given that he preached some 60,000 sermons in his life, it’s a message that many heard him share. Matthew 11:25-30 will help guide our hearts to surrender with the help of the Holy Spirit.
