The incredible promise that as Christians we become the Temple where the Spirit of God resides isn’t only for our own personal comfort. More than personally knowing God’s present with us, we are also told we are the ambassadors who bring Christ’s presence to the people we encounter. It is true that God is everywhere, but as we join in God’s mission we help to call attention to God’s love and grace to those living lives that are so often disengaged and distracted from knowing God yet. As we worship today, let John 20:19-23 help direct our hearts as we consider how to let God’s presence in us touch those we encounter everyday.
