When we come together and see God’s purpose in calling a congregation to community that is Altogether Different in some significant ways, it is important to recognize how we are united. We are united in our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and we should also find ourselves united in mission to the world. The S1UMC mission statement is “Empowered by God to love and serve one another.” We bring this worship series to a close today as God leads our hearts with 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 and consider how we are guided by the Spirit to be on the same mission. We will also be commissioning our West Virginia mission team.
