Twenty-two members of S1UMC recently returned last week from a successful mission trip to West Virginia. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to show the love of Christ by serving our neighbors in Wyoming County. I was reminded during the trip of the song verse, “And they’ll know we are Christians by our love” as we walked, prayed, and worked together. But there is another important way which we show Christian love to the world and that is by forgiving others. Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:21-35 that we are to forgive anyone whom we perceive as having offended or injured us without setting limits or “making them pay”.
