Sometimes we don’t experience the fullness of what the Lord has for us because we are on a journey and not ready for the gift that God is waiting to give us. Other times Jesus is patiently waiting for us to realize what he’s been up to in our lives all along. Not only do we need to acknowledge the work of the Spirit and be open to it, but there are many significant ways that we need to surrender to a greater work that God is doing in our lives. If doing it our own way was the road to salvation, we wouldn’t need Jesus. Surrendering to what he has for us is the only path to life.
